inaugura domenica 7 dicembre 2014, alle ore 18.00, la mostra collettiva internazionale dal titolo: “MISE EN BOITE / Quasi un’opera
collettiva"a cura di Giovanni Bonanno, che lo Spazio Ophen Virtual Art Gallery di Salerno dedica
all’artista Christine Anne Tarantino a
due anni esatti dalla sua scomparsa (7
dicembre 2012). Sono presenti 87opere di altrettanti importanti autori internazionali che hanno
voluto essere presenti a questa particolare
ricorrenza dell’artista americana.
A due
anni esatti dalla morte dell’artista
americana (7 dicembre 2012), viene
organizzata la prima collettiva internazionale a lei dedicata con la partecipazione di diversi
amici artisti internazionali in cui era
da tempo in contatto. Christine Anne Tarantino è nata nel Bronx il 3
dicembre 1948, La sua famiglia si trasferì presto a Framingham Massachusetts.
Ha frequentato il Fitchburg State College. Christine ha preferito vivere una
vita a contatto con la natura guidata da motivazioni essenzialmente spirituali.
L’artista americana ha creduto fortemente nel potere di trasformazione delle
parole, sia parlate che scritte. In considerazione di ciò ha creato per diversi
decenni opere “Fluxus” tra immagine e parola, tra oggettualità e poesia visiva;
una sorta di contaminazione tra scrittura e collage con materiali organici
trovati, e soprattutto, la partecipazione attiva a tanti progetti
internazionali in una rete artistica
globale in cui l'arte si concretizza
attraverso la partecipazione collettiva
e corale degli artisti, realizzando interessanti opere in edizioni uniche,
libri d'artista e diversi testi scritti. Le sue performance in arte consistevano in eventi e azioni artistici spesso a
contatto con la natura. Nel solo 2012, prima di morire, Christine è stata presente in diverse importanti rassegne
in Germania, Italia, Paesi Bassi, Irlanda, Nepal, e negli Stati Uniti.
La solitudine e la bellezza naturale della sua fattoria a Wendell ha
ispirato la sua creatività e il rispetto della natura. Amava camminare
nella Quabbin e guidare attraverso il Berkshires, soprattutto andare per i musei d'arte a North Adams e
Williamstown. Christine Tarantino di
Wendell, (Massachusetts), a soli 64 anni cessò di vivere il 7 dicembre 2012 presso Hospice della
Fisher Casa a Nord Amherst, Massachusetts.
Per questa
particolare occasione sono presenti 87 artisti con oltre 135 opere e diverse
poesie di vari autori dedicate a Christine
Anne Tarantino e una presentazione critica dal titolo (My soul is a poem in bloom) dell’amico Douglas Dawson.

International group exhibition opens
Sunday, December 7, 2014, at 18.00, entitled: "MISE EN BOITE / Almost a
collective work" by Giovanni Bonanno, that Space Ophen Virtual Art Gallery
of Salerno dedicated artist Christine Anne Tarantino exactly two years after
his death (7 December 2012). There are 87 works by as many important international
authors who wanted to be present at this special occasion the American artist.
Exactly two years after the death of the
American artist (7 December 2012), is organized the first international
collective dedicated to her friends with the participation of several
international artists that had long been in contact. Anne Christine Tarantino
was born in the Bronx December 3, 1948, His family soon moved to Framingham
Massachusetts. He attended Fitchburg State College. Christine has chosen to
live a life in contact with nature led by an essentially spiritual. The
American artist has strongly believed in the transformative power of words,
spoken and written. In view of what has created works for several decades
"Fluxus" between image and word, between objectivity and visual
poetry; a sort of cross between writing and collage with organic materials
found, and above all, active participation in many international projects in a
global art network in which art is expressed through participation and choral
collective of artists, creating interesting works in unique editions , artist's
books and other written texts. His performances in art consisted of artistic
events and actions often in contact with nature. Only in 2012, before his
death, Christine has been present in several important exhibitions in Germany,
Italy, the Netherlands, Ireland, Nepal, and the United States. The solitude and
natural beauty of his farm in Wendell inspired his creativity and respect of
nature. He loved to walk in the Quabbin and driving through the Berkshires,
especially to go to art museums in North Adams and Williamstown. Christine
Tarantino Wendell, (Massachusetts), only 64 years passed away December 7, 2012
at Hospice of the Fisher House in North Amherst, Massachusetts.
For this particular occasion there are 87

This
video documents the Green Seen Mail Art Show, which took place at the Wendell
Free Library in Wendell, Massachusetts USA in 2010. It was one of the largest
mail art shows of the year. Wendell artist Christine Tarantino was the driving
force behind the show. She was joined by Wendell artist Adrian Montagano in the
construction of a large installation using the art that was received. I
apologize for the poor audio, especially during the conversation between
Christine and Adrian--I was working with some inferior equipment and am not
much of an audio engineer.
